Several years ago when I finished graduate school with next to perfect grades and astounding reputation, I immediately started to work. The Go Lucky Smile Corporation, one of the greatest companies in the city offered me an amazing salary at the IT department.  I designed several programs for small robots at that time. Most of them never left the prototype sub-division and eventually all of them were left out. Five years after I entered I was fired, and almost immediately hired at another corporation.
The software most cell phones have included as a free feature was developed almost entirely by me. Future Probability Advisor, FuPA, was designed to determine the potential risks in case of military action and potential case scenarios. Of course, the military did not think the software was good enough for them and they overlooked the whole system and my reputation was destroyed in just a couple days.
On the morning of June 2nd, I entered my full data and other several characteristics of myself, and so I found out something that destroyed my will. FuPA, based on your data can answer questions you ask, they can be random questions like would I like the movie? Or what should I do today? But it was also answer much more complex questions. That morning I asked something that maybe I shouldn’t have had.

What will become of me in 5 years?
       NEET

That single word destroyed my will to continue. I checked the data and modified a couple entries, and then I asked the same question. The answer remained unchanged. Once more I reviewed the data and asked again. Same results. This same pattern occurred at least four times until I could not do anything more. That night I rushed to my flat and went over the programming itself. Three weeks later FuPA V2 was finished and I once more typed all my data in. Several minutes later I typed the same question once more and I stared at the black and green screen for several hours before pressing Enter. I was utterly scared that the answer would still be those four characters. Finally I pressed the key and I clearly read NEET once again.  It was no mistake, FuPA V2 was at least 27% more accurate than the previous one, yet the answer was the same.
Out of desperation I asked why, but the system was unable to determine an answer, INSUFFICIENT DATA. And so, with nothing else to ask I simply modified the program to make it a little less accurate and a lot more simple-minded and sold it to TECHNIcom. They gave me a vast amount of money, enough to live out of it for at least 10 to 15 years if I was careful enough to not make anything stupid with the money.
My previous life ended that day and the NEET was born.

Three years later.
Anume, the renamed version of FuPA, became one of the most popular and interesting application, not even Ciri was able to compete against it. Soon enough people wanted to have another version of it, but there was not even the slightest chance another version could exist. Even though I sold the software and all the rights to it, there was not anyone else besides me able to freely modify the program and make it work once more. One afternoon during summer TECHNIcom called me and told me to design a new application, I asked for a job and they told me it was not possible. I hung up. Two weeks later my name showed up on a local newspaper; the identity of the creator of Answer Me (Anume) was finally revealed. Several companies called me, asked me to design for them. However, not a single job offer came by. My name was too famous in the industry to actually work in a company and evade all possible legal absurdities that could happen.
The creator of Anume had also created several fragments that were used in the industry to create new software, all of it had my name as the programmer; hence I could not freely use those programs to program something new while in a company, since all companies had programs of mine. My ability to program became my curse.
I continued to live as a NEET.

Two years later.
I grew thin, my hair grew long. Nowadays I wear kimono almost every day, I do not know why, one day I simply started. The pony tail hanging from my head is quite large, and the beard hanging from my face is almost non-existent. FuPA V2 was right; I could never get a job. On June 1st I took out my computer and stood up all night and created FuPA V3. Unlike previous versions V3 was only able to answer my questions and all questions and answers will be stored in a local hard drive, in order to retrieve more information about myself. Also, if the system were to determine a possible immediate answer I could tell FuPA if it was right or not. The more questions I asked the more FuPA would learn; and so, five years after I asked that dreadful question I began to ask even more questions about my life.
       What am I today? NEET
What will I be tomorrow? NEET
How much money do I have? Enough for another 13 years.
What if I start smoking? Enough for another 11 years.
What if I also start drinking? Enough for another 10 years.
What are my chances of duplicating my money in 2 years? 10.86%
       Should I create V4? No.
       Should I sell V2? Yes.
Would that duplicate my money? No.
How much would my money increase? 70% plus minus 10%
In total 1562 questions were answered in two weeks. Several of those questions were repeats, but sometimes the answer would change. After all those questions the system evolved to its final form. A secondary screen appeared underneath the main screen; however, the second screen did not have an input, instead it had a specific question, and its answer.
       What am I today?
       NEET
I loaded a remote access of FuPA V3 to my cell phone and continued to live my normal life. The answer did not change.
I was still NEET.

Nine days ago.
General Paul Hatfield knocked my door at exactly 10:17 am. Apparently the army was aware of V3 and national security required my assistance to create a system that would calculate probably case scenarios for an imminent war that was about to break lose in just over 5 days. All the information that I was receiving at that point was classified, and guarded top secret over the highest level. Of course when V3 knew my situation the status finally changed after so long. Army dog.
During the next 6 days I developed Echo, which was an upgraded version of V3 limited to only certain aspect concerning war, and hooked up to HAL, a supercomputer I had free access to. The war did not break lose in 5 days of course, but Echo said it would be 17 days starting the day it went online. General Hatfield was indeed satisfied with the software, but Echo still needed a lot more work in order to predict a lot more things the army wanted. So far, Echo would predict possible futures limited to only 18 days. Anything over that time would be defined as ERROR. The accuracy of Echo was still to be proved, but the amount of information needed to compute the outcomes of certain actions required the usage of HAL, and a direct input to the system signed by an officer. Echo was slow, but once the data was processed the outcome will come out clearly in just a few lines.
Two days after I finished Echo I was invited to a meeting where I would meet Gerald Zuma, Secretary of Defense. During the meeting I was bound to explain Echo to the prime officers and teach them how to effectively use it. However, even before I could explain anything to anyone, a short man entered the room and gave a document to Zuma. A couple seconds later we were told to leave the facilities through a secret passage that would exit five kilometers south our current location.
I walked in the dark for a while following an old man leading the way through several corners and several doors, when we left out the tunnel a car arrived and they told me to get inside. The driver took me several kilometers south along the shore. Inside the car there was my computer and my hard drives. I revised Echo until my battery ran out, after several hours later we stopped at an old house, where underneath a secret bunker was held. I entered the lonely bunker and I was left alone. Hours came by and finally someone opened the door, it was 6:32 am.
